ABSTRACT

Chapter 2 discusses how the concepts, approaches and ideas of scholars and studies focusing on Transnational Relations, Entanglements, Critical Geopolitics and Imaginaries help to understand entanglements in and between both Polar Regions, which have often been neglected in research on their politics. It argues that with the combination of all four theoretical perspectives it is possible to understand different layers in the evolution of the politics of the Polar Regions. Chapter 2 also briefly relates to the material and methods used for the analysis presented in this book.
