The children in Key Stage One, especially Year One, will still benefit from many Early Years Foundation Stage recipes so feel free to select recipes from the EYFS section. Computing could be used throughout the process for the children to take photos of the product, following this by writing instructions and displaying for others. The children have so many ideas of what they would like to make. By providing an environment where they can lead their own learning the possibilities for cross-curricular learning is endless. “The children measured the ingredients but then adapted them to their liking. They made different shapes and used different amounts of cheese each time.” The dip recipes can be made into a little book for children to use as they wish. They might choose one to make or each new group could make one to try.
