ABSTRACT

Because all of these issues are connected to each other when considered in light of the ability of the state and prevailing institutions to provide for the welfare and security of its citizens, Chapter 8 takes a comprehensive review of the national security challenges facing Nigeria, their potential sources of inspiration, as well as the threat profiles they generate. Drawing from both classical and contemporary literature, the chapter explores the various dimensions of Nigeria’s security domains and propose a more versatile and holistic strategic framework for dealing with them.
