ABSTRACT
The chapter explains the complexity of Nepal’s sociopolitical settings and puts forward the challenges before the political parties in the post-People’s War regime. End of monarchy, initial changes in the education system and some of the emerging contradictions of the new political class are talked about in the concluding section.
