The Kilosa Fife line will open up areas for European settlement which, although not as large as those on the other route, are only some 100 square miles less, and the Arusha Madukani line, whose construction the author will recommend later in this report, has European settlement as its primary object. The construction of the Iramba Plateau Railway will take two years and of the Sanya – Engare Nairobi line six months.
