ABSTRACT

This chapter contains a report of proceedings of the various meetings held in Salisbury, Rhodesia, regarding Beira Railway. A public meeting was held at the Masonic Hotel to discuss the attitude of the British South Africa Company with regard to the extension of the Beira Railway. The meeting was called for the purpose of passing certain resolutions, and as these resolutions are of considerable length, they are inserted as being more convenient for reference, together with the names of their respective proposers and seconders. Adjourned meetings, dated November 8th, 1895 and November 14th, 1895, with reference to several question, were held at the Masonic Hotel, before a numerous audience.
