ABSTRACT
The chapter reviews various conceptualizations of climate adaptation and places climate action in the context of the related concepts of risk management, hazard mitigation planning, risk reduction, resilience, and vulnerability. It examines various types of climate adaptation action and policy formulation from local initiatives to international policy and global financial infrastructure.
