This chapter provides a brief synopsis of preceding chapters. It informs the reader of other fields of study in linguistics than the ones covered in the first eight chapters. Students are encouraged to seek out further instruction in areas of linguistics that interest them. A list of organizations in the United States, the United Kingdom, and Canada are provided to encourage students to seek out more information.
