ABSTRACT
We develop the underlying electromechanical parameters. These are drawn from an extension of the Thiele/Small parameters by using ideas drawn from Garner and Jackson’s paper ‘Theoretical Bass Unit Design’. From the underlying loudspeaker equations we can then produce the detailed specifications that we will feed into an FEA model. We also discuss the type of FEA model that’s appropriate.
