ABSTRACT

As we saw previously, the voice coil is at the heart of a loudspeaker drive unit. B represents the flux density (in Teslas) and l the length of wire (in metres), and this is how the voice coil translates the electrical current into the force that moves the diaphragm. In reality therefore, we cannot separate the voice coil from the rest of the motor unit. We also discuss how Bl changes with displacement (x) and shove https://www.w3.org/1998/Math/MathML"> B ⋅ l 2 R e https://s3-euw1-ap-pe-df-pch-content-public-p.s3.eu-west-1.amazonaws.com/9781351116428/eaacaf48-7387-4b0a-be49-717b50652679/content/imath19_1.tif" xmlns:xlink="https://www.w3.org/1999/xlink"/> .
