ABSTRACT
There are significant personal, social, and professional benefits to effective listening. While focused on the ways in which listening effectiveness contributes to both personal and professional success, listening is also viewed as a social responsibility. Effective listening will not only differentiate students and help them to be successful in their careers; it will also enable them to make responsible decisions, recognize and respect individual differences, and be more informed consumers as well as users of social media.
