ABSTRACT

This chapter emphasizes a deeper understanding of the chosen topics and examines the relations between studied themes and the research insights that lead to developing the Reflective Leadership concept. A deeper investigation into leadership practices and a search of what leaders should actually do was conducted and implemented within a new concept. The sociological view perceives the organization as a collective actor comprising individuals, bound with formal and informal ties, and carrying subjective views, intentions, evaluations and decision-making power embedded in culture and institutional norms. The leadership challenge in the digital era is to enhance continuous innovation and change flow in all organizational processes and inspire human resources to take a proactive role within those processes. Critical thinking has recently gained attention as a desirable employee characteristic. Critical thinking can improve useful outcomes of employees in various organizational situations and events.
