ABSTRACT

This concluding chapter focuses on the research and writing I have completed so far. I have referred to working in the spaces in the title of this chapter because although I have found several answers to my initial questions, there is still much to be explored. Some refer to this place as living in the boundary between ordinary and non-ordinary reality. My developing thoughts and identification of areas of uncertainty are addressed by revisiting previous chapters and their conclusions. The significance of the Shadow in the unconscious is illustrated once more with a rather touching story involving one of the men who recorded the Chinggis Khan–Ch’ang-Ch’un dialogues. Finally, I attempt to link ideas that have taken me in myriad directions, but continue to return to my central questions regarding: a) the relationship between Chinggis Khan and Ch’ang-Ch’un and b) the nature of evil. Finally, I hope to conclude with a sense of optimism regarding these challenging issues.
