ABSTRACT

This chapter covers fitting Tailored Shirts and Blouses. We start with labeled drawings of a tailored shirt and a blouse and continue to the body measurements needed to pull or purchase a shirt or blouse, how to measure the garment to check against actor measurements before the actor tries the garment on, and the standards for how a shirt should fit on the wearer, including the amount of ease needed for parts of the shirt or blouse. Drawings show the major fit issues that may be present, shoulder positions, and different types of shirt collars and cuffs.
