ABSTRACT

Praxis and theory are often considered opposites. Aristoteles saw theory as a práxis. We follow this thought and arrive at an attempt to describe the actions in producing and receiving works of art theoretically as poiesis: a recursive creational process in two orders of observation. Then we shortly present a concept of aisthesis where the specific composition of the media of theatre directed to address a spectator or an audience, serve as tools of attention. Finally, we present a definition of performativity as an observation of the world with the distinction person >< role. This leads to a discussion of the concept of performance.
