ABSTRACT

Entrepreneurial ecosystems exist in sport due to the variety of stakeholders disseminating knowledge and information about sport. This chapter focuses on entrepreneurial ecosystems with particular relevance to how better engagement with sport entities can facilitate innovation. In order to make use of these ecosystems, relevant opportunities need to be found that can contribute to the innovative capacity of the sport sector. This involves focusing on social networks and stakeholder engagement as a way to foster dissemination about novel ideas. Incorporating community interaction as part of the process can make the entrepreneurial ecosystem more dynamic.
