ABSTRACT

This introduction presents an overview of the key concepts discussed in the subsequent chapters of this book. The book assesses critically and analytically the development of securities dispute resolution in China in the past two decades, including the role played by securities regulators and other relevant administrative authorities. It also assesses the development of alternative dispute resolution through arbitration and mediation of the disputes involving securities and securities transactions. The book deals with comprehensively administrative cases and administrative litigation involving securities regulators on one side and individual or companies on the other side, which arise from regulatory matters such as approval by the securities regulators of issuing and listing shares by companies. It explores the Share Issuing and Trading Market, deals with the disputes in the share issuing and trading market, with a focus on the disputes between investor principals and securities company agents.
