ABSTRACT

Nature as innei: essence, as a matter of course exerts a strong hold over us where this urge is concerned, possibly even the strongest. At the very least, sex is the one "primal diversion" that always seems to be of interest, and wrapped into sociocultural views and sanctions to the highest degree. Reproduction, the natural correlate of sex – even though the religious right should take note of the equally natural human interest in making this fun without that consequence possible – on the other hand, is not an individual human need. The contemporary "human domination of ecosystems", which implies that "humans are stewards of nature, whether people like it or not", is a direct result of human numbers, together with technological capability and with levels of consumption. It is not enough to simply assume that nature were adaptable anyway, however.
