ABSTRACT
A consumerist economy functions well marketing substitutes particularly as long as there are enough people with jobs. The challenges thus go deep, as self-efficacy, the effort it takes, and its connection with sustainability are but little supported, but everyone by the very fact of being alive is also of influence on life and sustainability. Nature, whether it be wilder, far away, or more controlled and close-by, once again offers some of the best, most direct possibilities for Recovering an individual sense of self-efficacy. Ways of more actively shaping one's life would also exhibit political relations, as everyone is, as the adage goes, either a part of the problem or a part of the solution. The trouble is that in aerodynamics whereas the ecological patterns that it will be necessary to work with towards sustainability are rather systemic, i.e. less obvious, oftentimes more forgiving for longer times, but ultimately none the less real.
