ABSTRACT

The conclusion of the book draws particularly on the insights of the final three chapters, highlighting the correlation of resignation for sanctification in the theology and spirituality of Charles Wesley. This connection has not been identified previously, yet, now having been discovered emerges as a significant aspect of his understanding of sanctification – resignation is a lens through which Charles views holiness. The conclusion also indicates the relationship between this perspective of Charles Wesley’s and an appropriate perspective on holiness for contemporary Wesleyan Christians.
