ABSTRACT
The final chapter draws the stories of pioneer violin virtuose to a close and seeks to explore shared experiences and issues that dominated the lives and careers of these important women instrumentalists. Through exploring the prevailing gender stereotypes within their narratives, the chapter exposes the inertia of historical tradition and ingrained musical patriarchy that are still present in our value system of determining who is historically important.
