ABSTRACT
A subordinate clause (or sub clause) is a group of words containing a finite verb and subject; this group usually forms the subject, object or other adverbial (MPT expression; see Unit 5) within a main clause sentence (see Unit 8):

Att du mår bättre är ett bra tecken. Subject
That you are feeling better is a good sign.
Jag gillar inte att han är självisk. Object
I don’t like (the fact) that he is selfish.
Vi äter när vi kommer hem. MPT (time)
We will eat when we get home.
Vi köper en ny bil om vi får lönelyft. MPT (condition)
We’ll buy a new car if we get a salary increase.
