ABSTRACT
Many supervisors have not had formal supervision training prior to stepping into a supervisory role. This chapter asks supervisors to consider what transferrable skills they bring to the role and how these are incorporated into their new role. The chapter then goes on to describe what quality training is, what things to consider when looking for quality training and the important questions to ask the provider or facilitator to ensure it meets the supervisor’s needs.
