ABSTRACT

This chapter presents a detailed account of the variety of tools used in Social Work Education Enhancement Project (SWEEP) for the various purposes. It discusses technology needs and solutions for project management and teaching and scholarship. As the SWEEP implementation developed, it became important to move ahead with identifying effective ways to communicate even before investments could be made in the networking technology recommended by Cisco. Collaborative editing permissions on the site allowed several SWEEP team members to contribute and organize content. This shared responsibility was helpful not only for uploading content but also for providing translations in a timely manner. The SWEEP team members learned important lessons as they assessed and implemented various technologies to manage an international project, disseminate information, and communicate with partners. In order to meet the project needs for communication, collaboration, and scholarship, the SWEEP team identified and used several technology tools.
