ABSTRACT

During the plan adoption phase of the National Charrette Institute (NCI) Charrette System, the project management team works to ensure the continued and expanded support of the project as it is guided through the adoption process. This work includes the continued involvement of stakeholders as the charrette team tests, refines, and finalizes the charrette products. The public communications plan is guided by the stakeholder analysis and the post-charrette communications strategy. The most immediate means for communication is the project website, which should be immediately updated to include the proceedings and final products of the charrette. During the document revision period, the charrette manager convenes a meeting of the project management team for the purposes of reviewing the recommendations of the project team members and deciding on the final revisions to the preferred plan. The NCI Charrette System strategies at play in the product refinement sub-phase are: design cross-functionally; confirm progress through measuring outcomes; and produce a feasible plan.
