ABSTRACT

In this final chapter, I provide workflow concepts for the beginning cinematographer—as well as tools, worksheets, checklists, and forms to help plan shoots. Definitions, examples, and the theoretical framework were covered in the previous chapters. This chapter explores some of the steps and tools for planning projects during preproduction, tools to help with the planning, and what to look for in the postproduction color correction and color grading process. Since this is mainly a review chapter, I do not provide section reviews. I also don't go into the production process, since classes, video tutorials, and direct shooting experience offer the strongest ways to learn production as a cinematographer.
