ABSTRACT
As parents, caregivers, and families, we look deeply into the eyes of our children, and we see a longing to grow and learn, and, even though there are innovative things happening in most schools in the country, the role of being a parent in the modern school environment is more challenging than ever. We truly believe that teachers and leaders entered the profession with a desire to change lives. They want to make those in front of them and around them better. They want to support the growth of kids and families. There are so many roads forward, and so many examples of how excellence can flourish. There are incredible schools serving kids on a budget and with the rules and regulations, pensions and unions, and the need to serve the whole child in poverty coming through their doors.
