ABSTRACT

Using a solutions and strengths-based approach, the aim of this book is to not just eliminate problems but to focus on desired changes. The approaches suggested are intended to be clear about what is and is not acceptable in the classroom, whilst maintaining maximum respect for the student – however difficult they might be – and supporting teacher integrity and wellbeing. Each page has a menu of ideas; the ones worth trying will depend on the answers to ‘what you need to know’.
