Therefore, all three Supreme Courts stand in the shadow of Lord Coke. The existence of judicial review in all three countries can be traced to Lord Coke, but the colonial history explained in Chapter 2 affected the relatively expansive judicial power enumerated in Pakistan and India’s constitutions and lack of a similarly explicitly enumerated right in the United States Constitution.
