ABSTRACT

The exodos occurred at the end of a Greek play, when the chorus exits from the theatre, singing a processional song that offers the spectators some words of wisdom related to the dramatic action of the play and the fate of the protagonist. This exodos reflects on some of the main developments of the book and reflects why Greek philosophy has been systematically neglected in Indian academia. Experiences intimated in the Dedication to the book are elaborated, and new directions for research, including a book on Aristotle, are indicated.
