ABSTRACT

Statistics are a tool, but one that can be misused. You are learning to use inferential statistics, and now you are being equipped to use them correctly. Non-normal samples can be misleading with regard to relationships in populations. Type I and Type II errors can result when our analysis of our sample misleads us into thinking we have a difference in means when we don’t (Type I) or we don’t have a difference when we really do (Type II).
