ABSTRACT
Management System (MS) 70 is a system of management for the 1970s. It is intended to act as a set of internally consistent and mutually reinforcing rules to guide all those concerned with the management of any organisation in the 1970s. The introduction of MS 70 could be made the responsibility of a project manager. Traditionally every member of an organisation - managers, operators and advisers - were fitted into a single pyramid structure and each employee strictly observed the principle of agreed seniority. The philosophy underlying MS 70, then, is that the 1970s contains ladders as well as snakes for the manager, there will be Goodies as well as Baddies in the film we are to see ; let us design a system to combat the latter by arranging an alliance with the former.
