ABSTRACT

It is not uncommon to lose goal focus amid the chaos of daily school life. Days are full of major and minor emergencies that can pull a leader from keeping the school on track toward student achievement. Once the school year is over, principals and teacher leaders have an opportunity to reflect on their progress and plan for the next school year. Summers are spent hiring new faculty and staff, overseeing new student registration, supervising physical improvements to the building, ordering supplies and equipment, developing teacher schedules, and most importantly, strategizing on how to optimize data results from the previous year.
