ABSTRACT
Thompson Enterprises is a privately held company located in the northeast corner of Key City, USA. Mr. Raymond Thompson founded the firm in 1973 which has 250 employees as of late 1995. CEO Thompson is continuously seeking to improve business. Thermocooler devices, the primary products of Thompson Enterprises, are semiconductor elements mounted on ceramic substrates. Thompson’s management believed that some of the changes successfully implemented internally needed to be applied to its suppliers. Thompson came up with ideas that would significantly reduce cycle time using a win-win strategy. The Thompson-Bilmo alliance is currently at a standstill. Many issues must be resolved before effective solutions can be found. Some potential solutions to the problems will be suggested to demonstrate variety of options still available to Thompson and Bilmo. The dedication to improvement by Thompson led to the trail of this energetic plan.
