Italian and Roman verses for Kyrie leyson in the MSS Cologny-Genève, Bibliotheca Bodmeriana 74 and Vaticanus latinus 5319

Twelve Kyries with verses are known from the two Rom an gradu-

als written, respectively, for the Caecilian and Lateran basilicas. These

Kyries from the manuscripts Cologny-Geneve, Bibliotheca Bodm eriana

74 and Biblioteca Apostolica Vaticana, Vaticanus latinus 5319 — which

I refer to henceforth as « 74 » and « 5319 » — are described in Tables

1, 2 , and 3. Seven o f the twelve pieces are found in both m anuscripts.
