ABSTRACT

A concordance has been found for Gloriosus confessor Domini Benedictus, the

last of six Old Beneventan chants in the Vatican MS Ottoboni lat. 145 recently

described in this journal.1 Five chants in that new source were previously known

from other manuscripts also originating at Benevento; but the sixth, Gloriosus

confessor Domini Benedictus, which, I supposed, was employed like the others 11 as an offertory or communion but in a now missing Old Beneventan mass for St.
