ABSTRACT
Married to Herzeleide. Gamuret does not appear in the opera, although he is referred to. The early part of Wolfram von Eschenbach's Parzifal devotes much space to the exploits of Gamuret who was a knight of some renown. He was apparently killed through treachery. Kundry describes to Parsifal how his father named him, with his dying breath.
