ABSTRACT
My course at the Cambridge Training College over, and the certificate to prove me a qualified teacher gained, the next step was to find a school in which to demonstrate the fact. My hope that it would be in London was not to be gratified, and it was only after some months of waiting that I was appointed ‘English mistress’ in the newly opened High School at Swansea.
