ABSTRACT
Slowly and methodically the work of the Session was brought to a close, and there were but two or three little “innocents” left to be dealt with before Parliament rose. But there was one little Bill—a little bit of machinery and otherwise of neither interest nor importance—which was sent up to the Lords on that last Thursday afternoon. The arrangement of the Government was that as soon as this was passed by the Lords the Royal Assent would then be given and Parliament would be at once adjourned, the prorogation being gazetted the following day.
