ABSTRACT
It is now time to pursue the footsteps of Lord Alton. After making a short stay at vienna, where he had the satisfaction of haring that his antagonist was out of danger from the consequence of his wound, he prepared to return to Switzerland – but just on the eve of his departure, he was informed the Eaglefield family were returned to England. Having now no motive to induce him to visit Lausanne, he resolved to join the English army, and make a campaign as a volunteer with his friend Henry Beverley. /
