ABSTRACT

The inter-linking web of computer networks growing so rapidly provides a completely new medium for the marketing of products and services, and meeting other business needs. Cyberspace is packed with people exchanging information about topics that can contribute greatly to market research and product development. The Internet contains a wealth of low-cost training materials for learning about cyberspace itself, computer software, and many other things also. The principles can be applied to online communications for other purposes, but there are concerns about the security of personal information numbers (PINs) communicated in this way. Convinced email users now much prefer to do most of their communications this way than put up with the extra time and disruptions caused by voice calls which could be more efficiently handled as email messages. Online communications can be used to great effect after a merger, or when two firms come together for a particular assignment, as is happening increasingly.
