ABSTRACT
We counter our review of minority-serving institutions with a chapter on campus environments within predominantly White institutions (PWIs), or those institutions that have a majority White student population. Specifically, in Chapter 6 we discuss the campus racial climate, or the way that students perceive the campus related to acceptance or openness to diversity and review the development of campus climate research and highlight new efforts to measure and improve campus climates for racial and ethnic diversity.
