ABSTRACT

A detailed discussion of fallacies and faulty argument techniques, two species of what we call ‘pseudo-reasoning’. Common species of each are considered and, using the concepts and techniques covered in previous chapters, we provide a method for exposing fallacious reasoning and explaining what is fallacious about it. We also consider common mistakes in reasoning about statistical data.
