ABSTRACT

This chapter takes a closer look at the work of four writers whose additions to DC Comics helped to define the cosmology and parameters of its multiverse—Gardner Fox, Marv Wolfman, Geoff Johns, and Grant Morrison. By taking case studies from each of their work, I deconstruct the specific ways in which they exploited, added to, and in some cases redefined how the DC Multiverse functions as a crucial aspect of the publisher’s larger imaginary world.
