ABSTRACT
This chapter looks at the impact of DC’s multiverse beyond just the comic books published by the company. It begins with a look at the ways in which the multiverse has been translated into multimedia iterations of DC’s characters and world—including novels, animation, and live-action television—before turning to a comparison with the Marvel Comics multiverse and one example of an independent comic, Infinite Vacation, that both parodies and pays homage to the concept of the multiverse in unique ways.
