ABSTRACT

The earlier chapters in this book have been concerned in various ways with the planning and creating of approaches for the achievement of particular desired objectives. A school staff which is actively involved in curriculum planning over a period of years is likely to be concerned mainly with approaches which differ only slightly from those previ ously tried and sometimes, less frequently, with approaches which differ considerably from previous ones. Such markedly different approaches can be said to constitute innovations for the teachers con cerned and might take the form of new courses, new forms of organi sation (e.g. non-streaming) or new teaching procedures (e.g. team teaching), or, indeed, any combination of these.
