ABSTRACT
There is a significant amount of disinformation that is regularly referenced to place doubt on the worth of technology in learning. This chapter looks at some of this disinformation using the metaphor of myths and legends. This metaphor is used to make the point that most myths and legends have their origin in some seed of truth. Using this premise, the chapter explores ten common myths, extracting the seeds of truth that allowed the myth to grow and asking the reader to reflect on how that seed of truth brings clarity to the point being discussed.
