ABSTRACT
Interactive system models for selected fourth-order DC to DC converters such as the single-ended primary inductance converter (SEPIC), quadratic boost and ultra-lift Luo converters are presented for both continuous conduction mode (CCM) and discontinuous conduction mode (DCM). The SEPIC converter is used to obtain a positive output voltage less than, equal to or greater than the input DC voltage. Models for fourth-order converters are available in references. The switching function concept is used to model the SEPIC converter. The switching function concept is used to model the quadratic boost converter. The model of the ultra-lift Luo converter is reported in references. Here, the switching function concept is used to develop the model. The interactive model of the ultra-lift Luo converter suitable for CCM and DCM operation with a dialogue box. For CCM operation, the relevant data are entered in the dialogue box.
