ABSTRACT

The language used by Instructional Designs for implementation of instruction could be accused of being deceptively stealth – masquerading as common terminology when it is, in fact, jargon. Successful design projects and instructional implementations are both planned and managed effectively. Probably the most important element of implementation is good communication. This applies to both communication during development and during the implementation of the instruction. Develop a project management plan for administering and monitoring the many tasks involved in implementation. Teamwork skills are important for all project parties, both during the instructional design/development process and during implementation of the instruction. Implementation involves both preparing for and actually delivering the instruction, and the extent of the preparation required varies with the type of delivery mode, the scope and geographical distribution of the instruction, and the receptivity of those for whom it is intended.
