ABSTRACT

A needs analysis is just one type of analysis used in identifying the scope of a design project. Every project has a set of key groups and individuals who are interested and involved in, and are potentially impacted by, the instruction practitioner's design. Project design/development teams may include many members with specialized skills, or they may have just a few members who each fulfill multiple roles. Projects typically benefit from the time and talents of multi-member teams; but a team approach requires coordination, good communication, quality standards, consistent formats and product specifications, group norms and established procedures for collaboration, and regular progress tracking and reporting. Every project has a set of key groups and individuals who are interested and involved in, and are potentially impacted by, the instruction practitioner's design.
